In 1959 Gary Paxton and Skip Battin changed the name of the group again and now they called themselves SKIP & FLIP. Some of the singles of SKIP & FLIP were rather successful. They released several singles as SKIP & FLIP. Their biggest hit was "It Was I". Some of their recordings were even released outside of the USA (Sweden, England, Canada, New Zealand).

In 1998 Collectables Record released an album with 15 songs that were recorded by SKIP & FLIP during 1959 to 1961. The album features the first six singles plus the CHUCK & THE CHUCKLES single. The 15th song of the album is an alternative version of "Doubt".

Even though Gary Paxton left the duo, Skip Battin continued with new partners, but he could not repeat the success.

The new partner in SKIP & FLIP was an old friend of Skip Battin called Dave Marcell.
