The group played concerts that were well received by the audience and the critics alike. They even played a version of the BEATLES song "She Loves You". Mark Andes had joined HEART after leaving FIREFALL and he was playing with the FIREBYRDS whenever HEART did not need him.

In the end Mark Andes had to leave the FIREBYRDS, as he had to play on a tour with HEART. He was replaced by Peter Oliva, who had already played in the KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN BAND and who had just left the GENE PARSONS BAND.

But just like Mark Andes before Tim Goodman had other commitments outside the group and when he had to record an album he had to leave again.

For Tim Goodman came Trace Harrill to play rhythm guitar and sing harmonies.

After the tour it looked as though the FIREBYRDS would break up.

Trace Harrill left and the other were looking forward to other jobs, when Michael Clarke made the proposal to invite Michael Hardwick to join the group. Michael Clarke had previously played with Michael Hardwick in the JERRY JEFF WALKER BAND. Michael Hardwick accepted the offer and the FIREBYRDS were ready to fly again.

Matt Andes left the group after a tour and he was replaced by Tim Conner. He was a banjo player, so the group changed its style a little bit, coming closer to the DILLARD & CLARK music.
